Dear ION customer, we have opted for a voluntary recall of the ION Quicklock Hook.
We at ION have one great passion: water sports.
Two years ago, we developed the Quicklock Hook, a kite hook that set new standards in the ease of use for kite hooks. Unfortunately, a technical problem has recently come to our attention.
The Quicklock Hook does not have the expected longevity if exposed repeatedly, and over a long period of time, to extreme loads, which can occur during high jumps. With the strong progression of the sport, especially in big air, the products are exposed to more and more extreme load situations. For this reason, ION is voluntarily recalling all Quicklock Hooks.
For safety reasons, we ask that you stop using your Quicklock Hook and return it to your dealer. Should you decide to continue using the Quicklock Hook we cannot accept any liability.
WHICH PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED?
The recall concerns all ION Quicklock Hooks from the 21/22 season.

HOW DO I RETURN MY QUICKLOCK HOOK?
You can return your Quicklock Hook to the dealer where you bought it, if possible, with the relevant receipt. Our retail partners are already informed and will be happy to help you on site.
ION always performs extensive testing during product development to meet and often exceed industry standards. Together with the development team, every effort is made to ensure that our products meet the high standards of quality and performance for which ION is known. Despite careful development work, there can be exceptional cases where problems with material may occur.
