About ION travelgear

All ION travel bags are made with a durable recycled shell made from Waste2Wear materials. Our boardbags are available in two different levels: Core and Tec.

Core boardbags

Core boardbags are the lightweight, no‑nonsense option in the travelgear range. They cover the essentials: 5 mm padding, small tool pockets, PE heat‑reflective insulation, and a durable outer shell made from recycled materials. Simple, functional, and built to protect your board without adding bulk.

TEC boardbags

Tec boardbags come with extra features that make traveling with gear easier. They offer airflow ventilation, 10 mm padding, reinforced panels, smooth‑rolling wheels, and carry handles that help you move everything around with less effort. The outer shell is a PU‑treated recycled fabric from Waste2Wear, built to handle rough trips and repeated use.

Curv_plate

A thermo molded Curv plate ensures great stiffness combined with light weight and durability for our gearbags. The plate is protecting the area that is getting the most friction while traveling.

Bag_breeze 2.0

Two TPU patches on the front and back of the bag, are combined with the mesh inserts at the front and tail to ensure great ventilation. The mesh inserts are completely EVA padded, perfect to protect your precious board. Say goodbye to a hot damp interior and hello to a breezy bag for your wetsuit and board!

Connective_handle

Gone are the days of hauling your boardbag in an awkward fashion across airport floors. ION has developed the Connective_handle as a simple solution for those tricky times. Using this accessory, you can connect the front handle of the Tec Boardbag to your trolley bag or airport trolly and calmly cruise to the check in counter.

The outer shell on all ION travelbags is made from 100% recycled PET 450D by Waste2Wear® — a heavy‑duty polyester fabric built for long‑term durability. A PU coating adds extra resistance to saltwater and dirt, helping the bags handle rough travel and everyday use.
