1% for the planet

OUR COMMITMENT: 1 % FOR THE PLANET 

At ION, as part of Boards & More, watersports and cycling are at the core of what we do. As a member of 1% for the Planet, we support environmental and social projects through our participation in the programme. Through our membership in 1% for the Planet, we support initiatives that align with the values reflected in our Save Our Playgrounds programme and our Code of Conduct. We contribute 1% of our online revenue to eligible environmental and social projects and invite our community to learn more about the organisations and initiatives supported through the programme.

According to the 1% for the Planet guidelines, up to half (½) of our 1% contribution may be fulfilled through non-monetary contributions, such as product donations, volunteer work or campaigns highlighting 1% for the Planet.

ION x Wheels 4 Life

Creating Pathways to a Better Future

Supporting Access to Mobility ION partners with Wheels 4 Life, a non-profit organization active in multiple countries with a strong focus on East Africa. The organization provides bicycles to people who have limited access to transportation, including students, healthcare workers, farmers and entrepreneurs. By sourcing bicycles locally, Wheels 4 Life works with regional suppliers and supports local bicycle availability within the communities where the projects are implemented. At ION, we value the role bicycles play in everyday life and transportation. Through our partnership with Wheels 4 Life, we support programs that provide access to bicycles for individuals and communities. According to Wheels 4 Life, donations are used to support the organization's projects and bicycle distribution programs. For more information, please visit: www.wheels4life.org
